Giving Back Day

2 December, 2016

Body and Brain Centre aims to assist the local community to become happier and healthier. We recognise that we are in a privileged position and as such wish to assist those who are struggling through the Christmas period.

This year we are hosting "Giving Back Day" on Monday 19th December. On this day, we are accepting wrapped toys and non-perishable foods to the value of your appointment fee in lieu of payment.

All our practitioners are donating their time so this is a great opportunity to explore new services including:

  • Chiropractic and Neuro-Rehabilitation with Dr Cassie

  • Myotherapy with Charmaine

  • Remedial Massage with Glenn

  • Pilates with Jess

Gift Ideas:

  • Toys

  • Board Games

  • Puzzles

  • Sporting Equipment

  • Leggo / Duplo / Technic

  • Gift Vouchers (older children & adults)

Food Item Ideas:

  • Christmas Pudding

  • Cakes & Biscuits

  • Long-Life Cream & Custard

  • Soft Drinks

  • Lollies and Chocolates

These goodies will be donated to Anonymous X who will distribute to homeless and/or at-risk and families who can't afford the basics at Christmas time.

To make it easier for Anonymous X, please wrap your gifts and mark who the intended recipient is. For example, “4 - 7 year-old girl” or “unisex adult”.

‘It's not about us. It's about inspiring and helping other people'

We welcome our patients, as well as the local community, to donate to this collection. Please spread the word so we can have a greater impact on struggling families in Melbourne. We will be collecting donated goodies from 1st December until Tuesday 20th December so even if you don't have an appointment on Giving Back Day you can still do your own little bit.

The toys and food items will be delivered in time for Christmas to local children and families in the clinic's local area, who might otherwise have very little or nothing on Christmas morning.

This will be our last community project for the year in addition to our certifying documents program, donating auction items to the Royal Children's Hospital, Movember for men's health and various sporting club contributions.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has participated in these endeavours throughout the year.

Appointments available in Moonee Ponds or online.
