Telehealth Appointment Tips
You can use any device connected to the internet that has a microphone - and ideally a camera. This may be your phone, tablet, laptop, or computer.
The link will open up in an internet browser - like Chrome or Safari.
For best quality calls, we suggest:
Good internet connection
If you have issues, shut down other programs using the internet, like Netflix. This doesn't happen frequently but we are living in crazy times so who knows!
Microphone and speakers
Most of the time these are inbuilt but some find it easier to have a headset or headphones plugged in.
We can find out a lot about you by seeing you. Again most devices will have the camera built in to it. If not, you can use a webcam. If you don't have a camera, we can make do without most of the time. You'll still be able to see your therapist when required.
Note about the use of cameras: The camera allows us to see each other during the call, not to take pictures of you. When you hang up, the camera will turn off automatically.
